Woman Texts Cop to Offer Drugs, Enters WrongNumberText History

“Hey it’s Amy. Do you want business tonight?” Amy Leigh Brown, 35, believed that she was texting one of her regular customers with an offer to sell Xanax. Unfortunately for Amy, she mistakenly sent the message P.V. Alkire, a McDowell County sheriff’s deputy. Deputy Alkire affirmed his interest in the goods and scheduled a meeting with Amy. To no one’s surprise, meeting did not go well for Amy.

In an attempt to cover her tracks, Amy deleted the incriminating text messages from her phone and denied the existence of the arrangement. Unfortunately for Amy, she forgot to silence her phone. When the deputy called the number that sent the original text message, Amy’s phone began to ring. Karma 1; Amy 0.
